Film: Screening and Panel discussion "Buen Dia Ramon"

The Mexican Cultural Institute invites you to a screening of the film Buen día, Ramón (Good day, Ramón/Guten Tag Ramón), presented by the Greater Washington Immigration Film Fest, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut.
A box office hit in Mexico & Europe, Buen día, Ramón follows the adventures of Ramón, who hails from a small Northern Mexican town. Undaunted after five failed attempts to make it across the US border to help his penniless family, an unexpected windfall provides the means to fly to Germany where he seeks out his friend's aunt. She's not at the expected address leaving Ramon to fend for himself stranded without shelter or money. He struggles to survive on the streets until he meets Ruth, a lonely senior citizen with whom he develops a rewarding and touching relationship that spans two different worlds.
Buen día, Ramón won 7 out of 8 Nominations of Diosas de Plata (Silver Goddesses) from Mexican Film Critics Association and has 6 Nominations from the Mexican Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing.
