Renato Miracco, Art Critic and Cultural Attaché, Embassy of Italy to the United States and Kelly Gordon Margolis, Curator, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, will discuss "Le Onde", the dynamic new exhibit currently on view at the Hirschhorn. They will trace a fil rouge (guiding thread) among the Futurist movement in Italy, the Cubist movement in France and the Spacialist Manifesto to the Le Onde exhibit. They will also include insights into Joseph H. Hirshhorn's collecting habits and strategies; analyse European impact on world culture, and examine the reasons behind the perpetual role Europe plays as host and generator of art that is both new and influential.
