Meet the Artists!

On View: November 10 - 30

Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C.

2370 Massachusetts Ave. NW

Join us for Meeting Point, a new exhibition of contemporary works by nine Korean and American multicultural artists that shifts viewers' established perspectives and explores the diverse relationships between artist, audience, and exhibition space.

Amanda LechnerJong OhBohyun YoonJon RajkovichSeung Ah LeeSun ChoiWonJung Choi, JiPil Jung, and Benjamin Stout conceived of Meeting Points as a collaborative mind-map that weaves together topics of race, culture, gender, history, politics and the nature of everyday life into a single, multiform art exhibition. By connecting all these aspects that both challenge and define society - by finding their various meeting points - the artists seek to build relationships between the audience, artist, and space.

Meeting Points also exhibits materials as diverse as its themes, including visual, installation, mirrors, sculpture, metalworking, glasswork, and video art. Despite the novelty of the materials and diverse experiences presented to viewers, the artist composed the exhibition not to express an original statement, but to elicit understanding of how society is continually changing around and within us.

Meet the artists during special weekend hours on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 12 to 5 pm. This exhibition will remain on view through Nov. 30 (M-F, 9 am-noon & 1:30-5:30 pm).
