“A love story...debut by Slobodanka Radun unfolds in contemporary Prague

which, thanks to the film’s clear artistic vision, appears as a modern and volatile metropolis.”

~ Šimon Šafránek, Karlovy Vary IFF

The Avalon Theatre will screen Us 2 on December 9, at 8 pm for one night only! An unconventional "love story," director Slobodanka Radun's Us 2 centers on two people and their attempts to escape the trap of their own desires of belonging to somebody.

Hoping for change, Ema (Jana Plodková) leaves her family and womanizing husband. She hides at the apartment of her gay hairdresser Tony (Ondrej Nosálek), whom she barely knows. They are merely two strangers connected by their mutual effort to escape from their families. Their liberating friendship teeters on becoming a love affair. This “love story” centers on two people and their attempts to escape the trap of their own desires of belonging to somebody.
