IN GRAZIA DI DIO (QUIET BLISS) - September 12 at 4PM

Salento in southern Italy: A small family-run textile factory is forced to close and three generations of women must now struggle to keep the wolf from the door. In order to settle their debts, their home is sold. Adele's brother emigrated and it is now up to her to find a way out of their crisis. While her sister dreams of becoming an actor and her conservative daughter doesn't fully grasp the reality of the situation, grandma at least appears to bear these cruel knocks with endearing equanimity. Nonetheless, once these women move to the country, their life seems to find its own rhythm, as they begin cultivating the soil and selling and bartering their produce. They soon discover that their new self-sufficient lifestyle is not only a relaxing down-shift; it also gives them strength.

IL PASTICCIERE (THE ITALIAN PASTRY CHEF) - September 13 at 5PM

Achille (Antonio Catania) is a master pastry chef in a southern Italian village, where he creates the most mouthwatering, tempting sweet treats that he cannot eat. He is diabetic and survives on plain pasta and boiled potatoes. The diet is as bland as his life until the day he delivers some delicious pastries to a swanky mansion and discovers a dead body. Soon there is a gun pointed at his head and an offer that he cannot refuse: help transport the body over the border or else. Accustomed to doing exactly what he is told, Achille complies, beginning a twisted film noir thriller in which he might finally take control of his life and start calling the shots. Literally. MINE VAGANTI (LOOSE CANNONS) - September 13 at 7PM

Tommaso visits his family in Southern Italy, to announce his new plan to be a writer rather than take over the family's pasta-making business–as well as to tell his family that he is gay. But his older brother, Antonio, beats him to the punch and unexpectedly comes out of the closet himself –literally giving their father a heart attack! Now Tommaso is left with a distraught family and a business to run, and stuck playing the dutiful son¬–until the unexpected arrival of his boyfriend and their gay friends threatens to upend everything.
