Mak Grgic, Slovenia's preeminent guitar virtuoso will take you on an eclectic journey of tunes that you will hum to and those that will challenge you.  Societies today have become cosmopolitan. Nationalities mix and so does the culture. Music doesn't fall far behind. Come hear how Mr. Grgic showcases the boom of diverse styles in music of the 19th and 20th centuries - each style representing its own niche. All of this through people's favorite instrument: the guitar!
Joining him as a guest artist is the international prize winning Croatian cellist Dorotea Rácz.

This program is in conjunction with the Embassy of Slovenia on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Slovenian Independence.

The event is free, but reservations are required. This event is expected to fill up fast.

Conversations in Culture offers diverse programs on culture from Europe, including music, visual art, theater, culinary art and literature - with an educational twist. In informal discussions, leading and emerging experts provide insights about their art form, in combination with a demonstration or performance. Programs provide an informal and entertaining forum to catch up on new and "old" cultural gems.
