IX Annual Charity Wine Tasting - Centro Argentino (CEGA)
The beautiful Embassy of Argentina will host once again one of DC’s most popular wine tasting events: the IX Annual Charity Wine Tasting. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with our fundraising efforts while enjoying Argentina’s best wines, including award-winning traditional Malbecs, fruity Torrontes, hearty Cabernet Sauvignons, and more, paired with delicious food from Rural Society. And you can also participate of our Wine Raffle!
Escuela Familia Agricola Renacer will be this year's Annual Charity Wine Tasting beneficiary. The school is located in Corrientes, Argentina, 550 miles north from Buenos Aires. This school offers a seven-year program from which students graduate as Technicians in Agriculture. Given the location of this school, students spend an entire week at the school before going home for another week to apply the knowledge acquired. Currently, there are 95 students in a building with 3 classrooms, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. An expansion project is underway, and funds raised at our event will be allocated to the construction of a laboratory-classroom that will be used to conduct experiments and research in agriculture practices.
