K-Cinema Screening & Social:

Thursday, June 23 @ 6:30 pm

Just one screening this month!

Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C.

2370 Massachusetts Ave. NW

Ji-Hyeok (Kim Woo-Bin) lives the high life as a safe-cracking antiques thief at the top of his game. His scrappy partner Koo-In (Ko Chang-Seok), brings aboard elite hacker Jong-Bae (Lee Hyun-Woo), and the three set out to knock over a high end jewelry store. When the owner of the store then forces them into stealing millions from a customs area in Incheon, the crew quickly gets in over their heads as the whole operation threatens to come apart at the seams. Unless, that is, they can pull off the heist of a lifetime.

Director Kim Hong-sun's The Con Artists (2014) is a classic modern crime caper, which has become an increasingly popular and successful genre in Korean films lately. Its lead actor, Kim Woo-Bin, is a real life model who has made a splash on the silver screen.

In Korean with English subtitles, 116 minutes.
