Argentine Tangos in Concert, Voice and Piano
An evening of opera, art song and piano with a repertoire of four different European countries and Argentine tango. The musicians, Jennifer Decker (soprano) and Martin Gallegos (piano), both Master of Music graduates from George Mason University, are teaming up for their first voice and piano recital together.

About the artists
Jennifer Decker, Lyric Soprano and Vocal Teaching Artist (Potomac Arts Academy PAA), holds both a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from George Mason University studying under Professor Patricia Miller. Jennifer maintains a thriving private studio of vocal students at PAA, and she currently teaches the popular Kids’ Voice Group Classes. She is also an accomplished professional performer in the recital hall and on the opera stage with roles in Le Nozze di Figaro, La Bohème, and Die Zauberflöte.
Martin Gallegos holds a Master of Music from the George Mason University where he studied under Dr. Linda Monson, and he is set to begin his Doctoral studies in Music at Catholic University of America this Fall. Gallegos participated as a soloist in the 2014 GMU Young Masters Concert, playing with the Mason Symphony Orchestra, and studied harpsichord with Charlotte Nediger at the 2014 “Tafelmusik” Baroque Summer Institute in Toronto. He currently teaches piano at Opus Conservatory of Music in Ashburn, VA, and performs regularly at Palio Restaurant in Downtown Leesburg, VA. He recently released his piano composition, "Impromptu Distante," available on iTunes, Amazon Digital Music and Spotify.
