  • Mexican Cultural Institute 2829 16th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20009 United States (map)

The Embassy of Mexico, through its Cultural Institute, invites you to a recital by Maestro Juan Pablo Horcasitas benefiting the victims of the September earthquakes in Mexico. The donations collected will go to the #FuerzaMexico trust set up to aid recovery and reconstruction efforts. We hope you will be able to join us for an evening of wonderful music to support those in need.

The #FuerzaMexico trust was created by representatives from the private sector with the support of the Mexican Ministry of Finance. Under the guidance of its board of directors, the trust will concentrate funds from both the Mexican Government and donations to apportion rapid, efficient, and transparent aid to those affected by the earthquakes.

Praised for a strong rapport and his superb cantabile, Mexican pianist Juan Pablo Horcasitas is one of the most versatile musicians of his generation. Since his solo debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2009 he has been actively performing and collaborating with many artists. As the first-prize winner at the "Manuel de Falla" Piano Competition in Mexico City, he has performed in the main concert halls in Mexico including the Palacio de Bellas Artes and more.
