LOCATION: 2534 Belmont Road NW | Washington, DC 20008
After World War II, various European countries formulated economic partnerships in an effort to rebuild. These agreements eventually became institutionalized in the form of the European Union in 1993. Members of the EU have worked together to achieve common goals on the international stage, such as economic prosperity, defense policy, technological advancement, health and safety, and environmental protection. Both the EU and the US have benefitted from these strong economic ties. In 2015, the EU exports to the US totaled over €350 billion and US exports to the EU surpassed €200 billion.
Please join the World Affairs Council - Washington, DC as His Excellency David O’Sullivan, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, opens his Residency to the Council for an evening reception to discuss the EU and bilateral relations with the US.
