JAPAN JOURNAL (UK)

Discover old Japan through rakugo-style storytelling presented by the world-renowned Katsura Sunshine!

Known as a time dominated by a deep love for the arts, Edo Japan’s distinctive artwork, such as netsuke, pay homage to the culture, lifestyle, and teeming society of samurai, artists, chefs, and merchants. Around the same time, rakugo, the art of comedic storytelling, grew in popularity. Featuring a single storyteller using only a folding fan and a small cloth to tell riotous tales, rakugo is Japan’s answer to stand-up comedy.

Get ready for a night of hilarity as Katsura Sunshine takes you on a tour through Edo Japan!
