Join the Mexican Cultural Institute as it hosts its first event of the new year with the Trio Nova Mundi. The program, entitled 'Un Viaje por México' (A Trip through Mexico), will feature works by three storied Mexican composers: Manuel M. Ponce, Juan Ramírez, and María Grever. Trio Nova Mundi is a dynamic all-women ensemble spanning the Americas in musical training and heritage. This heritage inspires a mission of sharing our music globally, a focus on innovative programming featuring new or lesser-known works alongside the classics, and a desire for outreach and community engagement. Since its inception the trio has appeared in concert and with regional orchestras in the US, Africa, Mexico, and Chile. Trio Nova Mundi includes Maureen Conlon Gutierrez (violin), Elisa Kohanski (cello), and Becky Billock (piano).
Please arrive early, registration begins 15 minutes before event start time. Those arriving more than 20 minutes after the stated event start time will not be permitted entry out of respect for our audience members and presenters.
Seating is offered on a first come, first served basis with priority given to those holding Eventbrite RSVPs. For those who are unable to attain admittance via Eventbrite, seating will be opened, if available, just before the event begins.
