Please join the World Affairs Council-Washington, DC as we host His Excellency Daniel Mulhall, Ambassador of Ireland to the United States for an Ambassador Series event. Ambassador Mulhall will address the US – Ireland bi-lateral relationship, the impact of Brexit on Ireland, and his country’s relationship with the international community.

Ambassador Mulhall is the 18th Ambassador of Ireland to the United States, taking up his post in August 2017.  A forty year veteran of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mulhall has served in multiple postings, including as Irish Ambassador to Malaysia (2001-2005), Germany (2009-2013) and most recently in London (2013-2017).  He was also Director-General for European Affairs, (2005-2009), served as a member of the Secretariat of the Forum for Peace and Reconciliation (1994-95) and Press Counsellor of the Department from 1994-1998.

Hon. Jim Moran, co-chair of the WAC-DC Board of Directors will serve as discussant.
